What to look for
MOT centres are DVSA-authorised testing stations carrying out the annual MOT test for vehicles over three years old (four for new vehicles in some categories). Class 4 covers cars and light vans; Class 7 covers heavier vans; Class 1/2 covers motorcycles. Testers must be approved by the DVSA, with the centre itself authorised.
